Electrical and Electronics Engineering is at a significant crossroads – the technology to create and manipulate information is at the center of the modern world, and it impacts modern telecommunications and computer industries, as well the basic sciences and biology. The research at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is highly inter-disciplinary. Collaboration with the Departments of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering as well as the School of Management results in cutting-edge research attempting to shape the core of our daily lives.

Labs and groups are the lifeblood of research at Özyeğin, where the goal is for faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students to produce research results that lead to papers published in technical journals, conference proceedings, patents and even start-up companies. Areas of concentration for research at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Özyeğin are telecommunications, networking, signal processing, computer engineering and micro-electronics.
