2023 Summer Term Dormitory Application

Dear Students,

Below you may find general information and important dates for the 2022-23 Summer Session dormitory applications.

2022 - 2023 Summer Session Dormitory Applications

 ✓ Applications via SIS

✓ Payment of the security deposit. (Applicable only if the security deposit has not been paid before or if the security deposit has been refunded before.)

 

For the English Language Preparatory Program Students:

  • You may complete your Dormitory Application for the 2022-2023 Summer Session from Monday, June 5, 2023, 10:00 am through Friday, June 9, 2023, 17:00 pm. To complete your application, please log in the SIS, and click on the “Dormitory Procedures” >>Dormitory Application Form”>> “Summer Session Dormitory Application for Preparatory Program Students” tabs.
  • The Preparatory Program students may check the results of their dormitory applications via the SIS on Thursday, June 15, 2023. To check your dormitory application results, please log into the SIS, and click on the Dormitory Procedures >> Dormitory Application Results tabs.
  • Please be advised that the students who will stay in the dormitories for the first time (“first-time residents”), and the students who resided in the dormitories during the 2022-23 academic year but left the dormitories and were refunded for their security deposits are required to pay a security deposit by Friday, June 9, 2023, 17:00 for their dormitory applications to be considered. The students who paid their security deposits and were never refunded before for the security deposit they paid do not need to pay any security deposit again.

For Undergraduate Students:

  • You may complete your Dormitory Application for the 2022-2023 Summer Session from Monday, June 19, 2023, 10:00 am through Friday, June 23, 2023, 17:00 pm. To complete your application, please log in the SIS, and click on the “Dormitory Procedures” >>Dormitory Application Form”>> “Summer Session Dormitory Application for Undergraduate Program Students” tabs.
  • Undergraduate students may check the results of their dormitory applications via the SIS on Monday, June 26, 2023. To check your dormitory application results, please log into the SIS, and click on the Dormitory Procedures >> Dormitory Application Results tabs.
  • Please be advised that the students who will stay in the dormitories for the first time (“first-time residents”), and the students who resided in the dormitories during the 2022-23 academic year but left the dormitories and were refunded for their security deposits are required to pay a security deposit by Friday, June 23, 2023, 17:00 for their dormitory applications to be considered. The students who paid their security deposits and were never refunded before for the security deposit they paid do not need to pay any security deposit again. 

*For students whose housing scholarships will continue during the summer session, the 2-person room scholarship will cover the Dorm 6 – Type B rooms, and the 3-person room scholarship will cover the Dorm 2 - Type D rooms.

           

Payment Options for the Security Deposit:

  • Payments can be made in cash at Fibabank branches by providing your “Student Number” or “TR Identity Number”, or
  • By credit/debit card via the SIS >> Financial Information >> Secure Payment screen. 

Move-In Procedures:

For 2022-2023 First-Time Residents :

  • Make sure to pay your summer session housing fees,
  • Fill out the Summer Session Move-In Form,
  • Submit a clean bill of health (health certificate) which verifies your fitness to stay in the dormitories,
  • Submit your Criminal Record Certificate (Police Clearance Certificate),
  • Submit a copy of your student visa and passport, if you are an international student.
  • Sign the Room Condition Inventory for your room,
  • Collect the room card of the room assigned to you for the Summer session. (Students who have any outstanding housing payments, including for the summer session, are not eligible to receive their room cards.)

2022-23 Fall and/or Spring Semester Residents:

  • Make sure to pay your summer session housing fees,
  • Fill out the Summer Session Move-In Form,
  • Sign the Room Condition Inventory for your room,
  • Collect the room card of the room assigned to you for the Summer session. (Students who have any outstanding housing payments, including for the summer session, are not eligible to receive their room cards.)

For Preparatory Program Students      :  Sunday, June 18, 2023  - Wednesday, August 2, 2023

For Undergraduate Students                  : Sunday, July 02, 2023 - Saturday, August 19, 2023

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • Students who wish to reside in the dormitories during the summer session dates due to their internship/assistantship positions must submit their requests before Tuesday, June 13, 2023 via email at yurt@ozyegin.edu.tr. The requests of students who apply to stay in the dormitories for their internship programs/assistantship positions will be considered so long as students submit their proof of internship or assistantship to Accommodation Services. Proof of internship must be issued by the employer, and must bear the employer’s stamp and signature as well as the dates of internship. Students must submit their proof of internship to the Accommodation Services Office as hard copy. As for students with assistantship positions, the respective professors whom students will be assisting must send a confirmation email at yurt@ozyegin.edu.tr.  The deadline for residents to stay in the dormitories for their internship or assistantship positions is Thursday, August 31, 2023.
