Shaping Future Spaces Through University-Municipality Partnership: Çekmeköy AI Base Student Project

Within the scope of the collaboration protocol signed between Çekmeköy Municipality and Özyeğin University, space design studies for the planned "Youth and Innovation Center: Çekmeköy Artificial Intelligence Base" project were undertaken as a semester project by 2nd-year students from Özyeğin University's Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.

The innovative student projects developed within this framework were presented to the public at a special exhibition held on Tuesday, May 27th at 09:00 AM at the Crea Center Çekmeköy Campus. The event saw the participation of Çekmeköy Mayor Mr. Orhan Çerkez, Özyeğin University Rector Prof. Dr. Barış Tan, project coordinators, academicians, students, and municipal officials.

This significant gathering provided a dynamic platform for young talents to showcase their original ideas, while once again highlighting the great potential for joint projects and sustainable impact that can be developed between universities and municipalities. Supporting young minds, who will shape the future of our built environments, through such collaborations plays a critical role in local governments achieving their innovative and sustainable development goals.
