ÖzÜ Rover Team Qualified for European Rover Challenge 2025 On-Site Finals

The ÖzÜ Rover Team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan Bebek from the Mechanical Engineering Program at Özyeğin University, has qualified to participate in the on-site finals of the European Rover Challenge (ERC), supported by the European Space Agency (ESA). The competition will take place in Kraków, Poland, on August 29–31, 2025. A total of 102 teams from 32 countries applied to the event, with 20 of those applications coming from Turkey. As one of the two Turkish teams that made it to the finals, the ÖzÜ Rover Team continues its work throughout the year at the ÖzÜ Planetary Robotics Laboratory, where students from different disciplines come together.

The team that will represent our university in the finals consists of the following students: Uraz Duray (Mechanical Engineering, 3rd year), Emre Özcan (Mechanical Engineering, 2nd year), Ebubekir Taşcı (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 1st year), Salih Burak Aydoğdu (Computer Engineering, 1st year), Mehmet Alp Özturan (Mechanical Engineering, 2nd year), Ayberk Kolay (Mechanical Engineering, 2nd year), Metehan Mutlu (Mechanical Engineering, 2nd year), Oğuzhan Berk Tekin (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 4th year), Gülce Gözlet (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2nd year), Camille Okay (Industrial Engineering, 2nd year).
